About Toshiji Takeshima

Toshiji Takeshima Actor Toshiji was born
and raised in Tokyo. He started his acting career when he was 8 years old and performed in several
operettas in a local theatre.
1999, Toshiji got a role of a Korean-Japanese movie. He started
his professional acting career and appeared numerous TV dramas, films, commercials, and theatres. 2005, Toshiji
decided to move to New York to enhance his acting skills and experience as an international actor. He
has studied with Austin Pendleton at HB Studio, performed in theatre and appeared in films as well as TV series. His credits
include Stanley in A Streetcar Named Desire, The Shanghai Gesture (Mirror Rep), The Bar-Man in In the Bar of a Tokyo Hotel
(Tennessee Wiliams), Lun Tha in The King and I (Rodgers and Hammerstein) and Ryumin in Summerfolk (Maxim Gorky), Solyony in
Three Sisters (Chekhov) and The Wind-Up bird Chronicle (World Premiere in UK, Edinburgh International Festival). Film: Hungry
for Gold, Raft, Music and Lyrics, TV: How To Make It In America(HBO), Cashmere Mafia(ABC) and more. Currently, He lives
in New York City.
