     Toshiji Takeshima / Actor, Performer

In both his silence and his speech, Takeshima embodies the exotic culture in which Williams’ play is set, reacting beautifully to the many barriers of language and culture.   -Show business weekly-

Toshiji Takeshima's realistic performance    -Theatre Scene.net-

Toshiji Takeshima is agile and lithe as The Prince, and exhibits a glee when swinging a sword straight out of Kurosawa    -Times Union-

Takeshima combines the skills of a dancer with the insights of an actor to engage the audience by forcing them to look beyond the story and believe the situation
His performance lifts everyone - Once the heroic prince appears to provide a needed energy boost, the stoic characters created in act one come alive as does the story   -The Record-

Takeshima mostly an observer in the story, and does an excellent job in a role that allows for no poetic licence.   -Egge New York-

an engaging Toshiji Takeshima provide most of the evening's interest    -NYconstage-
